Bradford is a diverse and exciting place to visit. There are plenty of things going on in the city, and whilst you’re staying over in The Green for your Applicant Experience Day – why not take the opportunity to explore?
Go for a workout
If fitness is your thing, be sure to visit our on-campus gym, Unique Fitness. They are offering a free session to all of our AED visitors staying at The Green – so why not have a go in their newly refurbished gym.
Grab a bite
Bradford is home to an array of international cuisines, perfect for any foodie – or anyone who fancies trying something new. A few favourites amongst our students are: My Thai, The International and MyLahore.
Not to mention, the huge amount of classic chains like Zizzi, Frankie & Benny’s, Pizza Hut and Nando’s – to name a few!
Cinemas galore
The city-centre is not short on cinemas, we have three separate cinemas all within a 15-minute walk of each other:
If films are your thing, you should definitely check out the IMAX cinema in the National Science and Media Museum for an immersive viewing experience.
Coffee and cake
If you love sitting in a beautifully decorated cafe and watching the world go by with a hot drink and a sweet treat – you’ve come to the right place.
Bradford has so many lovely cafes to visit; whether you want to meet up with friends or catch up on some work, the city is full of cafes to relax in.
Plant One On Me, Waterstones and Cake ‘Ole are amongst the prettiest of cafes in the city.
Get your skates on
Bradford Ice Arena is the perfect place to go if you want to try out something fun and new!
The ice rink is open for public sessions every day of the week as well as disco sessions on the weekend where you can skate around to your favourite songs!

Do some retail therapy
Why not visit The Broadway Shopping Centre whilst on your visit? Filled with your favourite high street stores, you’re guaranteed to find a bargain!
Not to mention the food court which is full of takeaway classics like KFC, McDonald’s and Subway – along with a yummy Taco Bell!
