Discovering what makes Jaguar Land Rover squeal

We’ve got a lot under the hood here at Bradford when it comes to engineering.

Some of the world’s leading car manufacturers work in partnership with our researchers to develop the next generation of automotive technology.

We’re researching brake squeal noise with Jaguar Land Rover, in our state-of-the-art Braking Research Centre. Our Advanced Automotive Analytics Institute is also working with the company on a groundbreaking project to extract and analyse automotive data to prevent vehicle problems and improve reliability.

Our partnership has grown with the introduction of this bespoke programme for Engineers at Jaguar Land Rover – the MSc in Engineering and Process Excellence, which develops advanced product design and development skills. With two cohorts of graduates now applying their new knowledge back at Jaguar Land Rover, and a new intake of students on their way, we’re motoring!

Plenty of engineering students at Bradford have gone on to work with Jaguar Land Rover after graduation. Our alumni are working in a varied range of roles there, including:

  • CAE Engineer
  • Materials Controller
  • Braking Performance Development Leader
  • Calibration Engineer
  • Senior Buyer
