This is SO going in my blog!

Friday marked the end of another jam-packed, fun-filled and fast paced week at work.

This weekend has been a total dream. I’ve had a well deserved relaxing  day of shopping in Birmingham (glad I’m getting my wage next week…*excitement*).

Had a lovely ride down south – (pic above), followed by a nice birthday celebration this afternoon. I am now ready for the week ahead.

After completing the intermediate excel course in September 2011, I’ve enrolled onto an advanced excel training course – which is tomorrow. I’m glad my friends (other placement students) are going to be there with me. Tuesday should be an interesting day as my tutor is visiting me. Of course there are the all-important meetings lined up mid-week which I have to prepare some work for (slight panic attack as I’ve realised that I won’t have much time between Monday and Tuesday to get this ready for Wednesday). On the bright side, I look forward to lunching with the other placement students (four lovely girls who I’ll be talking more about later) and then before I know it, it’ll be Friday again. Time just seems to be flying by.

But anyway, I’ve really enjoyed my first week of blogging, so much so that I’ve been constantly saying “this is so going in my blog!”  (http://www.facebook.com/pages/This-is-SO-going-in-my-log-Barney-Stinson/115341491821441).

More importantly – if you guys have any questions about finance placements or want to know more about what I do, drop a comment and I’ll try my best to help you. :)

To end, I’ll leave you with one of my favourite poems:

Self Belief

If you think you are beaten, you are

If you think you dare not, you don’t

If you’d like to win, but think you can’t

It’s almost certain you won’t.

If you think you’ll lose, you’ve lost

For out in the world you’ll find

Success begins with a fellow’s will

It’s all in the state of mind.

For many a race is lost

‘Ere ever a step is run,

And many a coward fails

Ere ever his work’s begun.

Think big and you deeds will grow

Think small and you’ll fall behind

Think that you can and you will

It’s all in the state of mind.

If you think you’re outclassed you are

You’ve got to think high to rise

You’ve got to be sure of yourself before

You can ever win a prize.

Life’s battles don’t always go

To the stronger or faster man

But soon or late the man who wins

Is the fellow who thinks he can.
