Youth groups in Bradford will say goodbye to the British Science Festival with a rocket launch, from 5-7pm on Thursday 15th September. Using technology provided by Thorite, the event will utilise a rocket launcher that can fire a rocket up to 300m with a speed of 250mph!
Members of local youth groups are invited to turn an ordinary capped tube into Bradford’s best rocket. Prizes will be given for the longest distance travelled, the best-looking rocket, and the most spectacular fail. Spectators are welcome, so adults can join in the fun too.
The event will take place at Lower Fields Primary School, on the last night of the British Science Festival, and promises to be a fantastic farewell.
