The day had finally arrived! Three years of hard work, dedication, and sleepless nights had come to fruition in what was going to be such a proud moment for both myself and my family. I remember waking up that morning, it was an amazing feeling knowing I had completed my undergraduate degree. I sat in the hall amongst all my fellow graduates with my family looking on from the back feeling a great sense of accomplishment. It was my turn to go up next, I was nervous and didn’t know how I’d feel; as I walked up on stage my heart was pounding, everyone clapped and cheered, this was my time to shine. I felt ecstatic walking off stage, I glanced at my family and they were smiling uncontrollably. This was our moment, our struggle, and our celebration.
