I’ll be hosting the University’s first Excellence in Knowledge Transfer (KT) Awards on Wednesday, 21 April. The awards will celebrate our engagement with industry and other partners nationally and internationally and the positive contributions we have on society, the economy and the environment. I look forward to welcoming the award judges, shortlisted applicants, KT active staff and their business contacts to the awards dinner where we will also be joined by Trevor Higgins, BT Partnership Director who will be giving a short talk on Innovation.
At the awards I’ll be presenting an Award to celebrate the exceptional contributions of an individual member of staff, to the University’s KT success. Taken as a snap-shot of work completed by the individual in the last 18 months, it will be based on an assessment of economical, social and environmental impact at national and international level, the significance of external relationship developed and the overall benefit to the University.
The awards have been organised by the University’s Regional Business Partnerships Centre in Research and Knowledge Transfer Support.
