I’d like to offer a warm welcome to all our new and returning students at the start of this new academic year. Whether you are local to Yorkshire, or one of the many students who have travelled hundreds or even thousands of miles to join us here in Bradford, I’d like to wish you every success with your studies.
This year sees the opening of our new £7.75m, Student Central building, home to the Students’ Union as well as providing a wealth of opportunities to study and socialise. Those of you who remember the former ‘Commie Building’ will be amazed at the transformation of the space which also brings together many of our student support services, all under one brand new roof.
Of course our support for you during your time in Bradford is not just about the facilities we offer or the excellent teaching we provide. We also pride ourselves on offering financial help, through the Braduate Fund, to those students who can benefit most and enrich their student experience. Applications are now open so please take a moment to see if you are eligible.
I’m in no doubt that the jobs market will remain competitive for most, as they graduate over the next few years. Nevertheless I’m confident that if you take full advantage of our fantastic learning and extra-curricular opportunities here at Bradford you’ll leave with an excellent foundation for success.
