B-neuro are a business enterprise based in the University of Bradford. They work regularly with pharmaceutical companies and biopharmaceutical companies on pre-clinical services for assessing the effectiveness of potential new drugs to impact on the negative cognitive and social effects of Schizophrenia on patients. They have just developed 3 new relationships with companies looking to develop effective drugs in this area. Two of these are well established Pharmaceutical companies based in Japan and the US and the other is a Biopharmaceutical company that has recently been set up.
Over the last year b-neuro have doubled their turnover. They are actively looking to continue to grow and develop the business further and have ambitious targets for the next year. They have been exploring business opportunities in China and went to Beijing in September 2011 with the help and support of people from the UK-China Science Bridges Programme. They met with a Chinese Contract Research Organisation to discuss possible collaborations and are looking to extend these discussions to other opportunity areas around the world.
They are in Washington from 12 – 16 November for the Neuroscience 2011 Conference.
