Drop-in sessions now running for Anatomage and iStan

Drop-in sessions open to students and staff

Over the last few months, as the Simulation Lecture Theatre and the Anatomage Table have been completed, installed and integrated into various programmes of study, I have had numerous requests from students and staff for informal access to the new virtual dissection table (Anatomage) and iStan (human patient simulator).

In response to these requests, starting on Monday 27th January, I will be running informal “drop-in” sessions throughout semester 2 for staff and students from all areas of Life Sciences, to provide time for you to come and use either the Anatomage Table or iStan and his associated software.

These sessions (30 mins for students, 1 hour for staff) can be booked in advance using the link below, either for individuals or for small groups (8 maximum), and will:

  • Enable students to come and learn, or revise, specific aspects of anatomy, physiology and pharmacology, as suits their individual needs;
  • Enable staff to come and try out the table and iStan, whether for specific teaching sessions or simply to see what can be done.

If you find that none of the scheduled sessions suit your timetable, please e-mail me directly (sls-simulation@bradford.ac.uk or k.bielby-clarke@bradford.ac.uk), and I will arrange a session at a mutually convenient time.

Looking forward to seeing you!
