Interactive Academics: Caroline’s visit to Allerton Grange

2630 (1)

CarolineOn 29th April (in the snowy weather!) we spent the morning at Allerton Grange School in Leeds with 40 year 9 students.

They had a talk from Kevin Fenemore on Games, Animation and VFX and he showed them some of the exciting animation work that his students have created.

They were then split into two groups and had a session with Hilary Pape finding out about Sport Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy and a session with Kevin, which involved critical thinking in respect to idea generation for Games, Animation and VFX. All of which was in the form of a Zombie Apocalypse!

The students loved it with comments like:

“I didn’t realise I could do Physiotherapy in the RAF”

“It’s great that more girls are doing Animation degrees, I want to do one too”

“It was worth coming to school in the snow this morning, it’s been so much fun”

We offer a wide range of subject specific and interactive activities for all school years. If you would like to know more, please don’t hesitate to get in touch:
