I had the pleasure of hosting 60 Year 5 students from Buttershaw Primary School.
The day was designed to Raise Aspirations for young students and University; the event was planned so that the children attending would get to experience their future selves in an environment of Higher Learning.
The highlight of the day was watching the students create a University Student on paper; they gave their creation a name, background, personality, a course of study and future aspirations. Each child had the opportunity to present back to the group of 60; all the students took great pride in showing off and presenting their ideal student.
The day also involved a tour of the entire campus which was illuminated by amazing weather on the day, during the tour the children got to experience our Media Truck and with the amazing support of Chris Hazell they had a fantastic experience at the studio in Engineering and Informatics faculty.
Finally the day came to a close with student life talks from our dedicated and inspiring student Ambassadors Hollie Payling, Amreen Farooq and Jaspreet Kaur.
This is the most fun I’ve had since starting my role in the Recruitment Team in January.
