After a restructure in the Recruitment and Outreach team, we are excited to reveal a new team for 2016; adding to the wealth of experience and expertise you’ve already seen in action.
In addition to familiar faces like Caroline Priestley – our resident expert in all things Adult Learner, Katie Miller – now Recruitment and Outreach Manager, and Samuel Ridley – progressing from the Enquiries team to Outreach Officer, we now have four new members of the team who have hit the ground running.
Thomas Whitford-Bartle, a 1st class Graduate of Psychology (BSc Hons) from the University of Bradford, is the first in the line up of new Officers. Thomas will manage the West Midlands region of the UK, working closely with Schools and Colleges to advise their students on their journey to Higher Education, as well as running the Children’s University; a long-established outreach activity at the University.
Nosheen Khan, the North London Officer, has developed her incomparable customer service skills from working for leading banks and travel companies for a number of years. A
proud resident of Bradford, Nosheen is eager to establish a name for the University of Bradford in North London and has already started developing key relationships with Schools and Colleges.
Mohammed Amad, taking the lead in South London, brings with him years of experience working with diverse communities in the North of England. From the NHS to City Councils, Mohammed has developed excellent rapport building skills which he has used to encourage students to pursue Higher Education with confidence. Mohammed is looking forward to helping students make positive decisions for their future.
Richard Devany, our new On-campus Event Manager, comes to us fresh from having organised the British Science Festival at the University of Bradford in September. With masses of event organisation experience, Richard will take the lead on Open Days, Taster Days and bespoke on-campus events for schools and colleges, in addition to organising the North and West Yorkshire UCAS fair in June this year.
With the new team up and running, we’re eager to make a positive difference to the schools and colleges we work with, and most importantly, provide students across the United Kingdom with reliable advice, guidance and information on Higher Education.
You can keep up to date with our new team and our work across the United Kingdom through regular updates in this blog, and don’t forget; we’re always here to help! So don’t hesitate to get in touch to find out how we can help you and your students.
