I wrote a piece this month for the online ED magazine, Mirror-mirror.org. Using some of my qualitative analysis of published stories, written by men who have endured disordered eating, I tried to offer a small idea of what it is that men go through.
Both stories can be obtained in full, if you are interested in reading more. As with all good hermeneutic research – this is the spirit of the endeavour – that the stories should be available for all to interpret. So, feel free to read them and take from them what you will. Do you agree with my analysis? What else should social researchers be focusing on when it comes to male eating disorders? What else from these 2 stories held meaning and resonance for you?
