I’m already a huge fan of Professor Pat Thomson’s work. She doesn’t just teach this stuff, she lives it. I find that the detailed descriptions of her experience, and of her own process, always have something to offer a scholarly writer. She discusses (amongst many other topics) how academic writing actually IS, rather than how it should be.
Her latest post is another one that will definitely be worth your time.
She discusses the importance of trusting your writer feelings – even after you’ve carved out a clear and cogent plan of attack to getting that journal article done.
