Day 2 of the Changzhou Open Innovation Workshop got off to a flying start. The UK & Chinese academics and companies took part in a ‘speed dating’ exercise, which was designed to ensure that everybody met each other and had the opportunity to discuss ideas and potential project collaborations. By the end of the day the delegates had managed to come up with a fantastic 64 project ideas, which the team is delighted with. These ideas will be filtered into categories and then taken forward into day 3 in order for the group to start defining projects.
Following the workshop we were taken on a visit to the School of Pharmaceutical Engineering and Life Science, Changzhou University, where we were shown the highly sophisticated laboratories. We were then taken to the stunning Flowers & Birds Garden restaurant and hosted by Professor Wang, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Changzhou University. We greatly enjoyed the delicious food and warm hospitality.
