Robotics at Sandal Primary

Organised and co-staffed by UCAN, the University’s student volunteering arm, July 16th saw Sandal Primary at Baildon host a day of robotics for 60 of their pupils.

The pupils spent most of the day constructing their robots, before having them tested on an assault course to see whether they could navigate their way around.

Days like Sandal Primary’s Robotics day are designed to demonstrate the fun that can be had with STEM subjects; the pupils enjoyed the day and had made some impressive robots by the end. Events such as this can be organised for other schools; if interested, please contact James via the ‘Team’ link on the blog.
