Will was an MA Conflict Resolution student who came to the University of Bradford on a Rotary Peace Fellowship. His research was focused on the potential role of spoken word poetry education in men’s violence prevention programmes.
One of Will’s favourite things about studying his master’s at Bradford was being able to interact with and learn from students and academics from a diverse range of backgrounds, who shared his vision of wanting to make the world a better place.

After completing an undergraduate degree in Archaeological Science at the University of Bradford, Keeley went on to complete a master’s in Forensic Archaeology and Crime Scene Investigation.
She choose to do postgraduate study to delve deeper into the field of forensic archaeology, which she discovered a passion for during her final year as an undergraduate. After graduating, she was able to find work as a Crime Scene Investigator for West Yorkshire Police and credits her postgraduate degree for equipping her with the specialist knowledge and experience needed to secure this role.

Access to cutting-edge technology

Billy graduated from the University of Bradford in 2019 with a master’s in Pharmaceutical Technology and Medicines Control.
One of the most beneficial aspects of his postgraduate course was the opportunity to be hands-on and use cutting-edge technology which he did not have access to back home in Zambia.
He now works as a Registration Officer for Zambia’s Medicines Regulatory Authority and hopes to return to Bradford to complete a PhD and move one step closer to achieving his goal of working for the World Health Organisation (WHO).

It was the state-of-the-art computer labs that first attracted Natasha Micic to the University of Bradford as a BSc Computational Mathematics student.
With her undergraduate degree complete, she’s stepped into the exciting world of postgraduate research as a Computer Science PhD student, specialising in big data analytics.
Her favourite things about Bradford include the enthusiasm and approachability of staff, as well as the freedom and flexibility that comes with being able to access most of her research materials remotely.

Excellent student support

Said came to Bradford with a clear goal – to gain the specialist knowledge needed to submit plans to the Afghanistan government for the expansion of the largest hydropower dam in the country.
Said has benefited from access to specialist facilities such as the Water Lab, where he’s been able to experiment and advance his understanding of civil and structural engineering. However, his favourite thing about studying at Bradford is the student support, in particular the Careers and Employability Service, where he’s received guidance in creating a CV, looking for jobs and preparing for interviews.
