Dr. Muhammad Khawar (Accounting, Finance and Economics)

I joined School of Management in 2010 as a part-time Associate Lecturer while practicing as an accountant in a local accountancy firm. Qualified as a Charted Certified Accountant  in 2009, my interests and involvements in academia goes back to 2005 when I was teaching in a college along with my ACCA studies. I have recently completed my PhD in Accounting which is a news that I want to share with my alumni students via this forum as they have been part of my journey. I have taught on various Accounting, Finance and Economics modules across different programmes. I have had a pleasure of teaching and working with many brilliant students over the past decade and I am still in touch with many of them. I am proud of my students whom I taught the basics of Accounting in the first year all the way to their final year Accounting and Taxation studies. Some of these graduates are now holding senior positions in leading accountancy firms and in the public and private sector. Some graduates have continued their studies, have completed their PhDs and are now colleagues in academia. Looking back at the decade, I feel honoured and blessed to offer a supportive role to so many great individuals and their success stories. My best wishes as always to my students and alumni!
