Do you have a new, innovative, viable and scalable social or business enterprise idea? Do you want support and connections to help set this up in the UK?
We are supporting talented overseas entrepreneurs to establish a business and settle in Bradford.
The University of Bradford is proud to be the first university in the UK to be authorised by the UK Home Office to endorse Start-up Visas, Innovator Visas and applications for indefinite leave to remain in the UK. If you have a good business idea, and are interested in being based in Bradford to run a successful start-up enterprise, please get in touch with us at open-innovation@bradford.ac.uk.

One of the distinctive aspects of our Accelerated Entrepreneurship programme, is that we provide a comprehensive package of mentoring and training, along with a broad range of business support services, so you don’t need to be an experienced entrepreneur to apply. First-time entrepreneurs are encouraged to apply to join our Start-up programme. This will endorse a visa for you to remain in the UK for two years. Under a Start-up visa, you can bring dependents with you, and you are also allowed to secure paid employment to enable you to cover living expenses whilst growing your new business. After two years, if your business is making good progress, we can then endorse you for an Innovator visa, which allows you to remain for an additional three years and thereafter to apply for permanent leave to remain in the UK.
We especially welcome applications from our alumni, although anyone who meets our entry requirements is eligible to apply. Our mission is to retain and attract talented international graduates in order to enrich our community and contribute to the prosperity of our city. Our current entrepreneurs come from countries such as China and Hong Kong; Egypt; India; Nigeria; Pakistan; Switzerland; and Zambia; and are running businesses in sectors as diverse as Fashion; Food; Hospitality; Language Learning; Business Support Software; Security Solutions; and Peace Education.
If there is a part of you that would like to return to Bradford, and another part of you that has always been interested in running a business, then joining this programme could be a life-changing opportunity. For further information please visit:
