The Braduate Fund – Supporting the next generation of Bradford Students

You may have heard about the University’s first ever alumni annual fund, The Braduate Fund, which was launched in 2010 to enable the goodwill of alumni and friends of the University to benefit Bradford students. We are delighted to report that the first telephone campaign raised more than £70,000 thanks to the generosity of our graduates, which will help improve the student experience and support services.

The aim of the fund is to make possible extra and special opportunities which are not funded by conventional funding and that will make a significant contribution to the Bradford experience. Students, Schools, Departments and Societies of the University of Bradford may submit an application for a grant for one of the following programmes:

Where the need is greatest

Grants from this fund will support projects at Bradford which are in most pressing need. These could include activities, purchases of equipment, changes to the University environment, or other projects that benefit current and future Bradford students.

Student Resources and Student Life

Grants from this fund will be used to enable students to broaden their horizons through sports, arts or volunteering opportunities, new research or study facilities, equipment for student societies, and student activities.

Most grants will be between £200 and £2,000. If you would like to receive the full guidelines for applicants and an application form, please email with “Braduate Fund Guidelines and Application Form” in the subject line.

Applications need to be sent by the Head of the Department or School, Dean, or the General Manager of the Students’ Union before Friday 15 October 2010 and it is expected that the first round of grants will be made in November 2010.
